IED - Florence
Studying at IED Florence was a transformative experience that shaped my perspective on design and creativity. Being in the design hub of the world, I had the privilege of learning from top industry professionals and drawing inspiration from the city's rich heritage. Florence’s textures, colors, and architecture became a living classroom, teaching me how to translate cultural stories into meaningful designs.
Visiting iconic places like the ADI Museum and Triennale Museum in Milan deepened my understanding of design’s intersection with history and innovation. Exclusive visits to Poltronova and Gucci Garden were equally inspiring, offering firsthand insights into the creative processes of renowned designers and luxury brands.
IED Florence taught me to appreciate the finer details in design—how textures, colours, and materials can elevate a product. The international environment was equally enriching, as collaborating with peers from diverse cultures broadened my perspective and fueled my creativity. The Italian approach to design, blending artistry with functionality, profoundly influenced my thinking, especially during projects like creating a product inspired by Florence’s textures.
This journey gave me not just technical skills but a new outlook on design as a way of life. It was empowering, inspiring, and pivotal in shaping my unique identity as a designer.
